OPEN LETTER FROM A JAMIE DORNAN'S FAN
This year is special for me because it's been 10 years since I'm your fan, Jamie. 10! It seems like yesterday when I started watching your first projects. It was the end of August 2014 and I was fascinated by your role as Paul Spector in The Fall. I always say that it is thanks to that great series that I am here today supporting you and following you. Obviously, I don't want to disparage your other works by saying this, I'm sure sooner or later you would have caught me with your wonderful acting, but I'm so glad it was with your first big role, which you are so proud of. Also, your first interview I watched was "the walk" on The Graham Norton Show and I was hooked to that video for months. I still watch it sometimes. You're so funny and I'm in love with your personality ever since.
Recently, I got nostalgia because I was remembering everything I have experienced with you: Sleepless nights waiting for you to arrive at some premiere in America; The excitement of seeing a new trailer or preview of your series and movies; Waking up and desperately searching for the interview they had aired the night before to watch at breakfast; Watch live any event that took place in the United Kingdom or Europe... There are so many things! And, despite being from the distance, I always feel it as if I were there with you. By saying this, let me tell you that the only time I saw you in person was at the BMW PGA Championship in Surrey on May 23, 2018. I never imagined I would have the opportunity, but they gave it to me and I will always be grateful for it. To this day, I remember that day fondly. It happened slowly and I enjoyed it to the fullest. It was a real delight to see you playing golf, the sport that you love so much.
At last but not least, thank you for being part of my life. Despite not being close, you are very special and I love you as if you were a member of my family. I admire you very much, both personally and professionally. I can get to know you a little bit thanks to your interviews and since you've opened up so much in them, I wanted to write something about myself here. I always try to do my best so that your career reaches all Spanish-speaking corners, because, although it may be hard to believe, you have many Spanish, Mexican and Latin American followers. This is the main reason why the blog and the social media that complement it exist. Updating it with news or subtitling your interviews fills my life, it's a good adrenaline shot. I am so proud of having created this project, which will turn 9 years old on November 20.
Before I go, I want to wish you a very happy birthday. I hope you can celebrate it at home with your girls and your Lenny, and if that's not the case, on set. I wish you all the best too, you deserve it.
